Special Pieces

The following items, irrespective of their actual dimensions, may be considered one piece and accepted in lieu of one piece of checked baggage whose outside linear dimensions are 53 inches (135cm).
• One duffel bag, sea bag or B-4 bag.
• One knapsack, backpack or rucksack.
• One sleeping bag or bedroll.
• Any portable musical instrument (including its container) not exceeding 39 inches (100cm) in length.
• One pair of snow skis with one pair of ski poles and one pair of ski boots
• One golf bag containing golf clubs and one pair of golf boots
• 1 Set of fishing equipment
• 1 Set of shooting equipment

CARRIAGE OF STROLLERS

Air Jamaica now provides a new service feature for passengers who are travelling with infants.  The tagging of strollers will be standardized offering two options to passengers – strollers that are tagged and placed with hold baggage for delivery with general checked baggage in customs claim areas or strollers that are checked at the gate and delivered at the destination on the jet-bridge or at the aircraft steps. 

Air Jamaica will carry in the luggage compartment free of charge a fully collapsible stroller or pushchair for passengers travelling with infants.  Only umbrella type strollers are allowed in the aircraft cabin.
