Air Jamaica, as the National Carrier represents the best of the Jamaican and Caribbean culture to the world, and considers its citizens at home in the Caribbean, and those in North America, Canada, and Europe as the foundation for its stability and success in the Industry.

 

Air Jamaica and its Community are intricately woven together. We combine our efforts in areas that benefit our communities both at home and abroad.

 

We work with many civic and cultural organizations, which includes :-

 

 

Air Jamaica partnered with the Jamaica Ex-Police Association of Florida in their fund raising efforts which refurbished the Lucea Police Station in Hanover, presented an EKG machine to the Noel C. Holmes Hospital in Hanover, and provided a scholarship valued at JA$48,000 to Tedeisha Bent of Cover Primary School.

 

  

 

  

For the past five (5) years Air Jamaica has worked with the Jamaica Awareness Association of California, on their ‘Mission’ trip to Jamaica. In 2005, 34 members of the Association traveled to Jamaica on Air Jamaica. These 34 members comprised 14 Registered Nurses, 2 Pharmacists, 7 physicians, 1 dentist along with 9 support staff. This team operated within the parish of St. Mary. These Doctors offered free medical service and medicine to approximately 400 persons daily. In addition this Association has provided educational support to the children in this area. 

 

 

Air Jamaica has continued to work with organizations, bringing to South Florida many of the Jamaican theatrical works in order to keep the Jamaican and Caribbean culture alive in South Florida. `Our involvement in the North American performances of The Pantomime, the National Dance Theatre Company recitals, Jamaican written and produced plays, musical concerts are all a part of Air Jamaica’s efforts to keep our community united around the culture, and showcase our best to the North American public.
