Today, the airline accounts for the majority of passenger and air cargo traffic and is a major contributor to the economy of Jamaica. Air Jamaica provides support to the country’s tourism industry and to the productive sector. Our cargo division, Air Jamaica Cargo accounts for over 70% of air cargo traffic to the island. Air Jamaica Cargo is deeply involved in the growth of Jamaica's agricultural sector and the development of industrial and international commerce. Our cargo arm is the primary air carrier of Jamaica's agricultural produce to North America and supplies the shipping needs of both our micro-businesses and large corporations. Air Jamaica provides complete cargo services from its bases at each of the destinations to which Air Jamaica flies. The airline also offers airport-to-airport small package service, as well as same-day service, from most of its stations.
