New Air Jamaica Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing

Kingston, Jamaica – Mr. Michael Conway, President & CEO of Air Jamaica, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Paul Pennicook to the post of Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing of the airline.

The appointment takes effect on June 1, 2006.

Mr. Pennicook holds a bachelor’s degree in hotel management from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.  His professional career spans 32 years, all of which have been spent in the hotel, travel and tourism industry.

He has served as Director of Tourism, at the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) from 2003 to present.  Prior to his appointment at JTB, he was President & CEO of Couples Resorts, where he led the company with award-winning and innovative advertising and public relations campaigns and established the group’s sales and marketing company, Island Romance Holidays.  Mr. Pennicook has been a member of the Board of Directors of Air Jamaica since December 2004.

Mr. Conway noted, “We are delighted to have an executive of Paul's calibre joining our team.  His demonstration of talent and energy will be a major boost to our Sales and Marketing efforts. His relationship with the JTB will be of considerable value as we work together to further strengthen the Jamaica tourism product.”
